Branches and leaves are cut in summer and winter, soaked in water and fermented, and the indigo is used in a muddy state. The garment is dyed 15-30 times in layers in the indigo dye to resulting in a vivid purple-blue color. It is a one of a kind color that develops a vivid, deep, hue over time.
